    Deborah O’Brien

    Deborah is a qualified psychotherapist who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and Certified Clinical Supervisor for mental health professionals. She received her Masters of Social Work (MSW) from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Deborah has over 20 years of experience in the mental health and social work field working with Anxiety, Trauma, ADHD, family challenges, and those who are addicted to drugs or alcohol. Her professional experience has included working as a Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and Program Manager.

    Deborah started Fairfax Therapy Solutions in 2010 with the focus of assisting others with building more satisfying and secure lives through counseling. Fairfax Therapy Service is steadfast in the dedication to provide quality mental health treatment.

    Deborah O’Brien is specialized in areas of Child and Adolescent Therapy, Family Therapy, and Adult Individual Therapy. She does accept BC/BS insurance.

    Kayleigh Nuciola

    Kayleigh Nuciola is the Practice Administrator for the Fairfax Therapy Solutions team. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Nazareth College and is in the process of obtaining her Certification in Medical Billing and Coding. Kayleigh’s previous experience includes client relations, service dispatching, administrative duties, financial operations as well as assisting project managers and leadership teams. Her interests involve reading, music, health and wellness, as well as special needs inclusion and equipment. At Fairfax Therapy Solutions, Kayleigh coordinates office communications, social media, mental health awareness and education, insurance coordination/billing and accounting.

    Shannon Grivas

    Kelly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She obtained her Master’s of Social Work (MSW) from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). She has since been providing clinical services with individuals, families, and children in both in-home and outpatient therapy settings. She has received training in the areas of child development, CBT, play therapy, applied behavioral analysis, and trauma-focused treatment. Kelly works with children, adolescents, and adults.

    Areas of expertise include anxiety, mood disorders, behavioral challenges, ADHD, and adjustment difficulties. Kelly Terry seeks to meet clients where they are, this includes identifying areas that are preventing them from functioning at their best, helping to identify and achieve goals. Her focus is recognizing the importance of the client’s personal experience and addressing individual needs.

    Kelly is not currently paneled with insurance. She will give you a superbill for insurance reimbursement.

    Alyssa Coan

    Alyssa Coan is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) Supervisee in Social Work. Alyssa has a Bachelor’s Degree in both Women and Ethnic Studies and a Bacheor’s Degree in Psychology with a concentration on military and trauma counseling. She obtained her MSW from Walden University in 2018. Alyssa’s belief is that compassion is a powerful force for dealing with suffering. Her philosphy is that compassion comes from being met with a nonjudgmental, listening ear. Part of the healing comes from working together with the therapist to aid the individual with self compassion enabling a healing environment for the soul. She utilizes a person-centered approach to work in collaboration with the client to help them overcome the obstacles of life so that they can reach their goals. Her belief is that therapy can assist in this process. Her focus is to provide a calm, nurturing and safe environment for the client to address their life goals.

    Alyssa’s counseling experience involved trauma and social work services with a nonprofit organization for domestic violence and sexual assault victims.

    Her focus is on trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She works with teens, young adults, and adults. Alyssa Shannon does accept BC/BS insurance. She can also give you a superbill for insurance reimbursement.

    Kristi Zimmerman

    Kristi Zimmerman is a Licensed Master of Social Worker Supervisee  (LMSW). She received her bachelor’s in Social Work from Brigham Young University then went on to get her masters degree in Social Work from Wayne State University. Kristi has worked with children, youth, and families in many settings.

    Her experience entails community mental health, juvenille detention, and psychiatric facilities. Kristi’s style is warm and collaborative. She utilizes a variety of therapy techniques to assist with supporting individuals and families in balancing systemic stress while also navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, shame, and low self-esteem. She uses a person-centered therapeutic approach to help individuals gain new perspectives and overcome challenges. Kristi’s integrative approach builds on each client’s unique strengths, abilities, and communication style. By working in concert with these skills, she seeks to help clients and their families navigate their way through life’s challenges and cultivate meaning from difficult experiences.

    Megan Catino

    Megan is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia, obtaining her license in 2015. Megan graduated from George Washington University with her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Throughout her career, Megan obtained credentials as a certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor and in perinatal mental health counseling. Megan has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. In couples work, she utilizes Emotionally Focused Therapy and has completed Level 1 of the Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Megan believes in exploring past experiences and relationships to see how that impacts the way we live our lives.

    Megan has extensive experience in working with adults in individual, group, and couples counseling. Areas of expertise include anxiety, mood disorders, perinatal mood disorders, and adjustment issues. Most recently, Megan worked with active duty service members and their families, tackling the unique challenges these individuals face. Megan is also focused on assisting individuals and couples that are struggling to start a family or navigating the many adjustments of parenthood. Megan believes in providing a warm, genuine environment that fosters the space for healing and growth.
